Daily Horoscope: Full Moon in Scorpio, May 12, 2025

Full Moon in Scorpio, Monday, May 12th, heightens your intuition, emotional intelligence, and healing abilities in response to unusual or unproven conditions, encounters, or opportunities, as the moon in a fixed water sign ruled by the planet Pluto forms a trine aspect with the North Node conjunct Saturn, both in Pisces, a sesquisquare aspect with Neptune conjunct Venus, both in Aries, an opposition with the sun conjunct Uranus, both in Taurus, which bisects a Yod aspect pattern with the moon, Jupiter in Gemini, and Chiron in Aries. Scorpio 8th house themes of merged or defended boundaries, shared assets or values, trust or betrayal, can be played out in strange ways, and things which have been hidden from you may suddenly be revealed or understood. The lineup of the North Node, Saturn, Neptune, and Venus also forms adjacent sesquisquare and trine aspects with Mars in Leo, as Mars engages in a T-square with Chiron in Aries loosely conjunct Mercury in Taurus, and Pluto retrograde in Aquarius, while Pluto takes part in a Minor Grand Trine with the sun and Uranus, and the Pisces/Aries group, enabling you to trust your instincts, tap into dormant courage, power, and strength, or call forth and receive the assistance of God, your guides, angels, ancestors, or other discarnate beings or elemental energies. Today’s intense, strange, but enlightening and empowering chart reminds me of the telepathic octopus named Old Night (aka Azrael, the Angel of Death) in the Netflix show, The OA. I mused on the symbols for all three water signs of the zodiac – the crab for Cancer, fish for Pisces, the scorpion for Scorpio – but why not an octopus for Scorpio? The octopus lives in the water, is highly intelligent, has excellent defensive and camouflage abilities, plus the power of eight independent arms each containing a brain of its own. My logic won’t change the iconic Scorpio symbol, but today the octopus is the ideal representative energy for this Full Moon in Scorpio. If you’ve watched The OA, you are probably nodding in agreement, and if you haven’t and would like to know what Scorpio energy is all about, give it a try.
