Daily Horoscope: Moon in Cancer to Leo, December 31, 2020
Moon in Cancer to Leo, Thursday, December 31, mixes the heightened emotions of a sensitive water sign coming down from a full moon with the fiery urge for expressing those emotions in a dramatic way as the moon squares “Look at me!” Aries, and opposes intense Pluto in Capricorn. The reserved energy of Capricorn is sorely tested when Pluto, the planet of power and control – as well as crisis, upheaval, and transformation – is being pressured by a demonstrative fire moon and an action planet in a warrior-like fire sign. As the moon moves further along today, it pulls in the energy of unstable Uranus in Taurus, and shifts the T-square focus from Pluto in Capricorn to Jupiter conjunct Saturn in Aquarius, which can switch the overall mood from just managing to stay in control, to all out losing it. After a year of incredibly dramatic ups and downs, the recent solstice transit of Jupiter and Saturn leaving restrictive Capricorn to enter freedom loving Aquarius, could cause people to see breaking rules as justifiable – and even reasonable. The Leo moon and T-square are egging you on to join with others in creating a large and noisy spectacle, but the challenging aspects bring a risk of physical harm under volatile conditions, and if excessive alcohol consumption is added to the mix, the square between Venus in partying Sagittarius and deceptive Neptune in Pisces could increase DUI’s and the number of admittances to jails and hospitals. Knowing when enough is enough is not easy now, nor is knowing which people or places are safe. A friendly trine between Venus and Mars, as well as the sun conjunct Mercury in Capricorn trine to Uranus, indicates that partying with friends or family members who are already in your daily circle, or celebrating the New Year on a video call from home, will be a safer and less stressful way to ring out the old and ring in the new. If you need to make a big show of your pent up negative feelings surrounding the year that is passing, burn your 2020 calendar, but keep the fire extinguisher or the hose close by.
