Daily Horoscope: Moon Transiting Libra to Scorpio, December 24 & 25, 2024

Moon transiting Libra, Tuesday, December 24th, moving into Scorpio on Wednesday, December 25th, presents two distinctly different tones to the Christmas Holiday, with Tuesday feeling more light and social, due to a Grand Trine aspect pattern dominating the day, involving the moon, Venus in Aquarius, and Jupiter in Gemini, and Wednesday’s Scorpio moon intensifying emotions and potential drama in a T-square with Mars in Leo, and Pluto in Aquarius. Libra is a cardinal air sign that prefers following the rules of social etiquette to maintain harmony in relationships or to protect reputation, but Scorpio is a fixed water sign that prioritizes truth and the merging or defending of boundaries and values. On Tuesday, people are more likely to “make nice” or overlook triggers, but on Wednesday, whatever emotions have been suppressed will be difficult to ignore and may be expressed. Mercury in Sagittarius forms trine aspects with both Mars in Leo and Chiron in Aries, as well as a T-square with Saturn in Pisces, and Jupiter in Gemini, on both days, with a mixed effect – some humor may be used to deflect or diffuse, but sarcasm or dark humor could be used defensively or to make digs at another – and some people may not realize that what they are saying is hurtful. With the sun in Capricorn quincunx to Mars and square to Neptune, it is better to let it pass than allow anger or hurt to ruin your mood. Families with young children who are having a visit from Santa might find that their kid’s reactions to gifts or family members are not what they expected. Blame it on the heightened anticipation and emotional overwhelm amplified by the mood shift that occurs as the moon changes signs. Are they (or you) hungry, thirsty, tired, or overstimulated? Attend to basic needs, meet emotional intensity with patience, take time out when needed, and avoid extremes of anything to enjoy your holiday to the fullest.
